THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE SCIENCE OF TAFSIR

Beginning of 9th of April to the end of May.

Course Description:

Embark on an intensive study of the renowned work of Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah:

Introduction to the Principles of Tafsir.

This essential text provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of Tafsir, guiding students through the fundamental methodologies for understanding the Quran.

This book is widely studied worldwide and has been taught by some of the greatest scholars in the two holiest mosques of Islam, both in Makkah and Al Madinah.

    • Introduction to the Principles of Tafsir: Learn the key methodologies for interpreting the Quran.

    • Foundation Building: Establish a strong foundation for further studies in Tafsir and broader Islamic sciences.

    • In-Depth Analysis: Complete an analysis of the book itself and explore the core principles discussed in the text.

  • None Required: This course is open to all, regardless of prior knowledge.

  • Students who wish to receive a certificate of completion must successfully complete the following:

    • Research Task: An optional research task for those seeking to deepen their understanding.

    • Final Exam: Assess your grasp of the course material through a final exam (Pass Mark: 80%).

  • To enrol in this course, students must be over 16 years old and have a good understanding of English.

  • Students must attend all classes. One absence is permitted, but multiple unexcused absences will result in expulsion from the course.

  • $150 AUD Per Term

    • Course Notes Provided After Each Class.

    • Any student enrolled or planning to enrol in another course this term at The Sunnah Hub will have their fee reduced to $100.

  • Students are highly encouraged to obtain a copy of Introduction to The Principles of Tafsir from Darussalam Australia for this course. It is currently out of stock but will be available again soon, InshaAllah.
